Little Shopping trip in China

Today after my only casting for suits, where btw the size was double than what I was usualy wearing, I went shopping with one of our agency girls, Cherry. She took me to a place called (have to think about it) :-) It was massive…

I’ve never seen so many shopping complexes next to each other. So many people … Well you guys know that China is the best place for shopping if you are looking for fake Gucci, Prada, Versace und co :-)

Anyway I wasn’t looking for that kind of stuff, all I wanted was a pair of new shoes. Cherry then took me to the Outlet store of Converse, All Star. I got myself white ones this time, probably not shoes to go out with as they will get dirty so easily. But more like clean shoes to go for castings etc.

Guess what I paid, 165 Yuan which equals about 22 US Dollars!!! That’s very cheap even for original stuff. Although I was told that those expensive brands are even cheaper in Hong Kong. In China original stuff like Versace is supposed to be more expensive in general than any other asian country.

Anyway, I’m not after 1000 US Dollar scarf :-)

Conclusion, I’ll def do a big shopping before I leave China :-)

Party weekend in Guangzhou

IMGP0743.JPG

This weekend was pretty much just a party weekend. Well I did my food shopping as well :-) Just check out the new photos I’ve added about going out and shopping in Guangzhou. It’s not many yet, but there’s more to come as soon as I will be able to explore a few more sights.

The Club we, my flatemates and me went too was The Cellar. One of the best clubs I’ve been to be honest. Nice design, great music, electronic music!!! Another good thing is that model’s get free drinks, 2 beer and 8 cocktails. One of the big reasons why you see there so many models :-)

Apart from models you see quite a lot of foreigners, less chinese people. And if there’s chinese, then they can be sometimes creepy, watch out!

In the end of the day, Friday and Saturday night have been very good. Only one thing bothered me, having a little much to drink I accidentaly deleted all the photos from my camera from friday night :-(

I’ll keep you posted :-)

Leaving Seoul and arriving in Guangzhou (China)

This day was one of the most sad days, Ripley picked me up at 10.20am in the morning to drive me to Incheon International Airport. I was lucky because I got a lift, because at the same time she had to pick up a new girl coming to Korea. Otherwise I would have just got a bus to the airport, but this made it so much easier, more so because I didn’t have to go myself.

Well I checked in and we had coffee and sandwhich and I waited with Ripley for the new girl to arrive. So we just sit down and waited for Daria.

She arrived, and then it was also time to say good-bye, one of the hardest good-bye I had. I miss everyone so much! I had a good time in Seoul, I met some really special people!

Then my plane was  late, about 30-40 minutes in total. The flight was ok. As soon as I arrived I saw Cherry, she got a shuttlebus with me to the city which took about an hour.

About my first visit in China I can’t say too much yet, heaps of people, not as clean as Seoul, but my agency is very nice, nice and friendly people.

The same day I arrived I went out to a club where models, chinese and foreigners hang out, with life bands. Free drinks and snacks for the models, what more do you want. But I left early due to my meeting with the agency at 10am the next morning. I also had one casting at 12:30. Cherry and me got a cap.

Taxi’s are so cheap here!!!!!!!! But they are so dangerous as well, and I though Seoul would be dangerous, Seoul was heaven compared to china :-)

Party Weekend & Job

Hey guys,

I’m back *lol* I’ve had a great weekend out. On Friday night I went to Overdrive, a model’s club.  I went there a couple of time’s before. So it’s time to mention and describe what’s going on there :-)

Basically it is a place where Models meet to have fun, get drunk and socialise. Some more, some less :-)  Every friday and saturday as a model you get 10 free drinks, like beer, vodka orange, whiskey etc… On weekdays however you can drink as much as you want. Now you might as yourself, how does that work, how does this club finance themself. And u might think, ahhhh a lot of koreans go there to see models.

NOT AT ALL. I’ve not seen more than 5 koreans in there. 95% are models. And to be honest, it’s up to your imagination how this all is being financed lol. Who cares anyway :-)

The next day, I slept on and off until 5 or 6pm. Damn that night really did it to me. Despite having a bit of a headache I did a few  and Ripley my manager wanted to go out as well since it’s my last weekend here. A few friends wanted to join us, but their either stayed at home, or like my friends picked up some chics or just got drunk :-)

Ripley and me had nice Korean Dinner called Gal bi sal, with beef. I loved it, so tasty and my headache almost dissapeared. We also had Soju, the traditional alcoholic drink every korean drinks. It’s nice, and makes you drunk :-)

We went to 2 clubs, first one was S-Club, we didn’t try that one. And yeah, loads of kids, young korean people. At least the Tequila shots were free :-)  The next place we went to was M2 which was kinda Trance club, some european DJ playing. Didn’t know him but music was ok. It was a great night out which I’ll never will forget, as now there’s a time to slowly say good bye to everyone :-(

Anyway, I somehow had the feeling that my flight to china was re-scheduled for a reason. Well i was right, I got Job on tuesday :-) Some fashion thing, at least not just sitting around….

China here I come, on wednesday! … I hope

It was a nice day, Ripley gave me a lift to the chinese embassy to get my visa. Thanks Ripley! It was beautiful outside, and I told her, this must be destiny, I’m leaving and the sun begins to shine :-)

Anyway, I didn’t do much all day, food shopping, walking around and Internet. Coming home from shopping I get a message from Mira she couldn’t pay my flight. I could only fly out on wednesday. I paid more for my visa to get it on time and now that?

Because I won’t and didn’t have any castings anymore, due to my leave anymore, I’m just gonna be sitting around…. damn… gotta make the best about it.

China here I come…

This morning Brandon, Rachel’s boyfriend left at about 8am. I told him goodbye and everything the night before. It’s getting quite here, it is only Rachel and me left in the apartment and since I’m leaving soon shes gonna move downstairs to the girls apartment.

It is so quiet, I hate it to be honest, as I need people around me. I’m also sad to leave as I had a great time with Dobe, Mira, Angela, Lizy and Ripley. Thanks guys for making this stay a memoriable one even tho it was raining all the time :-)

At about 10ish I went to the Kodak store to print my visa photos. Straight after I got a taxi to the Chinese embassy to get my tourist visa, and despite my and others thinking i could get multiple entry I only got single for 3 months. It seems only Koreans get multiple. Having that cleared up, I’m ready to go to china on the 20 th.

Tomorrow I pick up my passport and visa, and for the rest of the time, well enjoy the humidity and rainy days in Seoul :-)

Amazing Weekend & The Dobe Crew

DSCN1459.jpgThis weekend was amazing. Matthias, a friend I worked for from Switzerland picked me up in his Ferrari and we went to have dinner with 2 Brasilian girls he invited.

After that we went to The Circle, the club I went before. Probably the best club in Town. Not having enough we also went to Spy after. Which was like a place where models, backpacker, and people who wanna meet models go to. It’s not a fancy place tho…. A bit dangerous area anyway so If u don’t really need to go there, you shouldn’t.

But If you are model and want to have a few free drinks, well let’s go, but not before 1 or 2 am, its empty that place.

BTW Best and strongest Long Island I ever got in my life I got in spy!
(You just need to know those ppl and they do everything for you, almost)

This weekend we, the whole Dobe crew went out, including Brandon, Rachel, Joanna who are my flatmates and my manager Ripley. You’ll never guess her age :-)  It was a fun night as you can see on the pictures. NO COMMENT :-)

Monsun Season & Taiphoon

IMGP0641.JPGThinking the monsun season would only last 4 weeks, it’s now almost 2 months rainy, cloudy and miserable. And the best thing, not only that the monsun season was about to finish, a taiphoon comes. Just check the picture and you see how it looked like, flooded bridges etc etc. I tell ya, having lived in Australia 2 year’s and seeing sun almost everyday, it is quite hard to just sit at home and watch tv or on the computer all day.

Except going out on the weekends and going to museums there’s not much to do. I’m not really that museum type of person anyway…

Then at 1pm I got picked up for a job. It was a shoot for a Italian Bag company. Great photos from what I’ve seen the screen. As soon as I get them I let you guys know.

Shopping Paradise, Dongdaemun Stadium

IMGP0632.JPGToday Brandon, Rachel, Joanna and me went shopping to Dongdaemun Stadium. There is heaps of malls, 4 or more level’s of clothing each mall!

Just a tip guys, don’t trust them :-) You shouldn’t buy Jeans for more than 40 or 45.000 WON. T-Shirts about 14.000 WON and Shirts maybe 20.000 WON.

Walk around and don’t buy teh first thing you like, show them you are interested but keep ur money inside ur pocket :-) There’s too much stuff, and it’s worth to double check the same piece of cloth with a different shop to compare prices.

Today I got myself a polo shirt and tie. This has been the second time I went shopping there.
